Memory-Aid

Posted in Group:

Hi all-

I'm new to the group. My dad has dementia and I'm always looking for activities for him. Also, I'm always worried when I forget something that maybe I'm getting it too.
Anyway, a good friend of mine just sent me a magazine that is good for him and me...It's called Memory-Aid and it is recommended by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America and the National Council on Aging and a couple of others. It's like an activity book but much, much, much better with relevant info on what we should be eating, how to exercise, and tips to improve memory and lots of self-assessments.
The best thing is that you can get a free issue to try for yourself. The website is called memoryaidmagazine.

This is the link to the free trial

We're all in the same boat so I just thought that I'd share that with you. If any of you have any other practical suggestions please share them.

You're welcome. I hope it helps. My dad likes it- and I know this sounds corny but it was the first time I saw that we actually had to use our brains!

Thank you! I ordered it for me but might try to get my dad to try it. I think he'll get frustrated and won't want to do it, but I'm interested to see what info it has for me as well.
